Monday, 30 August 2010 - Thursday, 02 September 2010
FES is currently holding its third discussion series about "Akar Demokrasi Indonesia" at Universitas Hasanuddin - Makassar. Students, young political activists and trade union members are welcome to discuss about political history and the origins of social movements in Indonesia. The four-day conference (30/8 - 2/9) with a lot of popular panelists from all over the country is combined with an exhibition about the history of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD). This shall give the opportunity to the participants to learn from the experiences of a political party that evolved out of a massive labor movement almost 150 years ago.
