Gender

FES has set itself the goal to systematically incorporate a gender perspective as a cross-cutting issue in its international development cooperation activities. A Gender Equality Project Asia based in FES India Office, Delhi is dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and equity. Besides its close cooperation with partners from all over Asia, the Program supports the effective implementation of gender mainstreaming within FES work in the region. Training and information for FES staff on the concepts of gender and gender mainstreaming are integral to this crucial task.

FES Indonesia office is one of the major partners for the Asian-wide Gender Equality Project in Southeast Asia. We are working with a broad variety of Indonesian organizations on gender relevant topics and we are maintaining the Gender relevant links to the regional Association of South East Asian Nations, ASEAN, with its secretariat located in Jakarta.
